Empowering Learners and Educators

Throughout her career, Sarah has been dedicated to empowering both learners and educators. Her experience in elementary education has solidified her commitment to nurturing not only academic growth but also the emotional and social well-being of her students. As a literacy support specialist, she collaborates with teachers to ensure that students have the tools and strategies they need to succeed.

"My passion has always been about helping students achieve their fullest potential. Whether in the classroom or in my role as a literacy coach, I want every child to feel capable, confident, and excited about learning."

Sarah is particularly passionate about using multi-sensory teaching methods to support children with learning differences. Her approach ensures that all students, regardless of their individual challenges, can access and enjoy the process of learning to read.

Sharing Stories and Inspiring Young Readers

Sarah co-authored Kit's Reading Adventure with her husband, Randall Walters, as a way to channel her expertise and love for reading into a story that can inspire and empower young readers. The book is designed to help children embrace their unique learning journeys and understand that their challenges do not define them.

"Working on Kit's Reading Adventure was a way to connect with children everywhere. I wanted to share a story that shows every child that they are more than their struggles—that they are capable of greatness."

A Vision for Every Child

Sarah's mission is to ensure that all children feel supported, valued, and excited about their learning experiences. She hopes to inspire not only students but also the educators she works with to create inclusive environments that celebrate the strengths of every learner.

"Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in an environment that recognizes their unique potential. My goal is to work alongside educators and families to make that a reality."
